Please use the following spoken dictionary for assistance in pronouncing basic Manx words and phrases. The dictionary is organised according to themes and will be added to on a regular basis. The following spoken dictionary of Manx place names should be of interest to anyone who isn’t sure about the best way to pronounce local names. There is of course some local variation within the Island but the following should go some way to encouraging correct usage.
