Dedicated to the Gaelic Language of the Isle of Man

Ned Maddrell Lecture 2018

The Ned Maddrell Lecture will be held tomorrow evening (Thursday 8th November) at St Johns Mill Conference Centre. Starting at 7.30pm this year's lecture will be delivered by TJ O Ceailligh from the University of Limerick who will talk about the impact of Irish medium education in Ireland. The Ned Maddrell Lecture is a yearly event that sees a language academic or activist visiting the Island to share their own experiences of working with a minority language. Over the years these lectures have helped shape strategy for the Manx language and enabled those within the language community here to share more about the fantastic work being done in the Island to support our own unique cultural asset.

The lecture is free and all are welcome. For more information contact adrian@culturevannin.im

The lecture forms part of the Cooish Language Festival which is supported by the Manx Language Network.
