Dedicated to the Gaelic Language of the Isle of Man

New in-person beginner Manx class starting January 2023

We're pleased to announce that a new Manx class for beginner adults will be starting up on Thursday 12th January 2023, here in St. John's.

The class will run between 11am - 11.45am each Thursday during term time, and will take place at Green's Cafe. The sessions are led by Manx Language Development Officer, Ruth Keggin Gell, and focus on building confidence in speaking and using Manx through engaging activities. You don't need to have learnt any Manx before to attend - just come with lots of enthusiasm!

All learning materials are provided, and the classes are free to attend, although donations to support the development work of Culture Vannin are always greatly appreciated: www.culturevannin.im/donate

Learning Manx is a wonderful way to feel more connected to the Isle of Man and help to support the use of our indigenous minority language, to meet new people, to give your brain a boost, and simply to have fun developing a new skill!

If you would like to join the class, please email Ruth via manxlanguage(at)culturevannin.im * or ring 694753
If you would prefer to sign up via our online form, you can do so here: Sign up for Manx lessons
