Dedicated to the Gaelic Language of the Isle of Man

Paid performance opportunity: ‘Cree’ Manx language & song project

Culture Vannin is seeking performers for a summer project that will bring Manx language, music and song to elderly residents in care and nursing homes across the Isle of Man.

We’re looking for engaging duos, or solo musicians who would be willing to pair up, to lead interactive (where possible) sessions featuring simple Manx songs and phrases.

Clear communication and enthusiasm are key; the ability to speak good Manx is a bonus, but not essential. Performers will receive a competitive rate of pay and reimbursement for mileage.

DBS checks are essential.

To find out more and/or express your interest in being involved, please contact Ruth Keggin Gell (Yn Greinneyder, Culture Vannin).

This project has been made possible through funding from Elizabeth Clucas Charitable Trust.
