Wed, 30 Jun 2021

An exploration of one of the Isle of Man's great Manx Gaelic place names; Droghad Ruy.

Today almost a forgotten place name, Droghad Ruy is actually a well-known turn in the road over a bridge on the road south and up into the hills from Dalby. The Manx name, 'Droghad Ruy,' gives two important words which will be useful to unlock other place names around the Isle of Man.

This is one in a series of films exploring the Manx in places names all over the Island.

This film was produced by Culture Vannin in 2021.
